Favorite Movies? Rebecca, Casablanca, It's a Wonderful Life, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Philadelphia Story, White Christmas, John Hughes/80's stuff, Harry Potter movies, Lord of the Rings trilogy, just about anything with vampires, and most classics, I am a TCM addict.

Favorite Actors? Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart, Gary Oldman, Clive Owen, Jonathan Rys-Meyers, Tim Roth.

Favorite Actresses? Katherine Hepburn, Jane Russell, Rosalind Russell, Angelina Jolie, Stockard Channing, Alison Janney.

If you were making a movie about yourself, who would you want to play you? Samantha Mathis. This is a holdover from the Pump Up the Volume years, when lots of people told me I looked like her (it was the hair, I think).

What TV show or movie title best describes your life? My So-Called Life.

If you could marry a superstar, who would it be? Hmm. I wonder if any superstars are like I want them to be? If so, Jon Stewart, Clive Owen or Stuart Townsend, provided they leave their significant others first.

Who are you jealous of? Rock stars. Looks like fun. Also successful (i.e. able to make a living off of it and have fans of their work) writers.

Do you have any bad habits? I have a tendency to procrastinate in my personal life. I don't work out enough. Sometimes I think I'm too hopeful.

What is the #1 priority in your life? Family, friends, and just generally being happy and striking a balance.

If you were another person, would you be friends with you? Absolutely.

Favorite Bands? There are so many. Bowie, Cure, Peter Murphy, Sisters, Assassins, Radiohead, U2, Jeff Buckley, The Stone Roses, The Changes, The Pixies, The Church, Slowdive, The Smiths, Editors, Nick Cave, Nina Simone, Pet Shop Boys, La Vulgara, any band my brother is in. I have about 500+ CDs, so I like a ton of stuff...

Favorite Colors? Green, red, black.

What do you do to vent anger? Punch & kick, preferably on a heavy punching bag. Write. Dance. Go hook up with the wrong guys. Drink.

Who is your idol? I tend not to have idols. I find they fall off their pedestals so easily.

Do you trust others easily? I trust people easily to an extent. But I don’t trust very many people deeply.

Do you keep a diary? Yes. 2 livejournals (1 is double-secret) and I have a handwritten journal at home.

Have you ever intentionally hurt another person? Yes, I’m sure I have. I can be mean, and I can take vengeance. But I honestly try not to hurt people for the most part.

Do you feel understood most of the time? Among my closest friends and family, yes. But not by everyone else. Most people don’t care to understand others, sadly.

Have you ever thought seriously about committing suicide? I had my moments when I was a teenager, where I thought I was serious, but in retrospect, no.

Would you rather be hot or cold? Cold, I think. I hate humid weather so much.

What was the best Christmas present you ever received? Airfare to London.

What are you worried about right now? Money, as always. If I’ll be able to do the things in life I want to do.

Do you hate anyone? Not really. Most people aren’t worth hating. I can't be arsed, you know?

Have you ever been in love with someone? Yes. More than once.

When did you last cry? I dunno, probably just some random moment when life overwhelmed me.

Favorite foods? Tapas, french fries with tons of ketchup, Mom's Thanksgiving dinner, tomatoes, Dad's Swedish pancakes.

Least favorite foods? Any type of seafood – even the smell makes me ill.

Most disgusting food ever consumed? Alligator. Yech.

If you were a flower, which one would it be? Depending on my mood, a Gerber daisy or a black rose (goth, baby).

Do you speak Spanish? Un poco.

Do you speak French? No.

Do you speak Jive? It's not my first language.

Who is your favorite cartoon character? Dangermouse.

If you cut your arm off, how would you feel? Why would I do this? I would stop at the first prick of pain, anyway.

Would you shave your head for $1000? Probably not, I can be a little obsessive over my hair. I could use $1000, though...

What color pants are you wearing right now? Gray.

What song are you listening to right now? Stone Roses - Driving South.

What was the last thing you ate? Chef's salad, tomato florentine soup.

Who do you want to spend the rest of your life with? My family and friends. As far as some sort of life partner, I haven’t the faintest idea. I'll know someday, maybe.

Do you like snow, sun or rain? Yes.

What are the first things you notice about the sex you're attracted to? Style, eyes, voice, manner of speaking (in that order).

Your favorite drinks? Sangria, Stoli & soda, Strongbow cider, hot apple cider with caramel, coffee with cinnamon cream, iced tea, mulled wine, bloody mary, eggnog (spiked).

Have you ever laughed until you cried? Yes.

What makes you happy? Good music, great books, family and friends, unplanned adventures.

Favorite place to be kissed? Neck.

Have you ever watched a sunrise/sunset? Many of both. Sunsets on the lake on which I grew up were amazing. Once I drove out to the Grand Haven beach at sunrise with a boy in Michigan, and we watched all the boats that had been out on the lake all night come in. It was cool. Normally I hate still being up when the sun rises, though (unless I'm someplace where it's still dark).

Do you like to dance? Yes. And I’m damn good at it.

Are you too shy to ask someone out? No, but I won’t do it unless I’m fairly sure they’ll say yes. And I don't feel the urge too often, because I'm really rarely interested in anyone. Such is my curse.

What's the stupidest thing you've ever done? I have done so many stupid things. Most of them boys.

Would you kiss a random person for $50? Depends on who the random person is.

Would you ever kill a person? Only if they were about to kill me or someone I loved.

What is the worst movie you've ever seen? The Transporter. We turned it off about 20 minutes in.

What is the worst TV show you've ever seen? Most reality shows, game shows.

Do you wear underwear? Yes. In lots of pretty colors.

Do you wear socks to your knees? Yes. I love knee socks. Especially soccer ones.

A free vacation, where would you go? London, again. Europe, Austrailia, Asia, anywhere but here!

Do you like rollercoasters? Yes.

How many kids do you want? Zero.

How many times have you been kicked out of school? None. I was a good kid then.

Can you waterski? I imagine I could, but I’ve never really tried.

Would you get in a shark tank? If I had adequate protection…maybe.

Ever wanted to hook up with a friend? Yes. And I’ve done it, too.

Who do you go to for advice? Depends on the problem.

Do you like cats? I am indifferent to cats – but I am allergic to them.

Have you ever caught a fish? Yes. I grew up on a lake, it was required.

Do you prefer Pepsi or Coke? I don’t drink soda. I’m an iced tea girl.

Do you believe in ghosts? Yes, but I think "spirits" is a better word.

What is one thing you can't do? Go running and enjoy it. Running sucks.

Are you afraid of dying? "Afraid" is not the right word. "Unready," maybe.

What is one word that you think is overused? I dunno. In my work, I think capital letters are overused.

Do you like where you live? Yes, but that doesn’t mean I won’t move again.

What is your biggest pet peeve? Spam email and spam blog comments. Leave me alone, already! Also, poor grammar.

What is on your mouse pad? "Go forth and set the world on fire." -St. Ignatius Loyola, with SmartBar photo booth pics.

Favorite board game? Pop Up Video (yes, they DO make a board game).

Favorite magazines? The Week, Bust. I read tons of magazines, though, I buy loads each month. But not Cosmo. Cosmo is the same article recycled over and over.

Favorite smells? Frankincense, Mom's Thanksgiving dinner, hot cider, Halloween candy all mixed together, fresh coffee, grapefruit.

Least favorite smells? Cigars, trash, illness.

Favorite sounds? Crackling fire, waves on the lake, soft rain, my friends' bands, conversation and ice clinking in glasses.

Worst sounds? Explosions, car alarms, screaming kids.

Worst feeling in the world? Futility.

What is the first thing you think of in the morning? Ugh, what day is it?

How many rings before you answer the phone? 1-2.

Do you like to drive fast? Sure, when I have a car.

Do you sleep with a stuffed animal? No.

Thunderstorms - cool or scary? Cool.

What was your first car? Eddie - my red Dodge Omni back when I was 18.

If you could meet one person, dead or alive, who would it be? Jon Stewart. I'd also be curious to meet Hillary or Bill Clinton, Madeline Albright, James Carville, Aaron MacGruder, Barack Obama, David Bowie. As far as historically, Queen Elizabeth I, the drafters of the Constitution.

If you could have any job you wanted what would it be? Writer. Rock star or President. Wait, are those the same thing?

If you could dye your hair any color what would it be? Fire Engine Red with all sorts of hues of red streaks.

Is the glass half full or half empty? If it has booze in it, all empty.
